Sally-Anne Lomas lives in Norfolk with a very naughty cocker-poo called Lola and a beautiful cat called Molly.
Love Like Your Heart’s On Fire, is her second novel published in July 2023 by Story Machine. This is the sequel to her debut Live Like Your Head’s On Fire chosen as one of the Best New Books for Young Adults 2021 by The Financial Times.
She runs Writing Well workshops bringing writing and movement together as a means of creative expression and improving well-being.
She worked as a television producer director making documentaries for BBC, ITV, C4 and Animal Planet for many years. She wrote, produced and directed The Search for the Lost Manuscript: Julian of Norwich a 60 min Documentary for BBC 4. Winner of the Royal Television Society East Best Factual Programme Award 2017. Her latest Series was South Africa with Gregg Wallace for ITV 1 broadcast in January and February 2021. She has also worked in schools making films with young people.
She is Creative Director of Cloth of Kindness - a textile art health and well-being project working in hospitals, with mental health institutions, cancer centres, domestic abuse refuge centres and other community organisations. Find out more about Cloth of Kindness by clicking the link.
In her down time Sally-Anne loves to dance Lindy-hop and Balboa with her husband and is an enthusiastic member of her local community action on climate group.
