Sally-Anne is interested in exploring the nature of mystical experience through creative expression. She works in various mediums – currently using water colours, textiles, the written word and film. She studied Fine Art at Norwich Art School and has exhibited at The Norwich Fringe Festival, Salthouse, Mills and Reeves, The Burning Bush Barn Contemporary Art Space and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
Sally-Anne’s first novel Live Like Your Head’s on Fire, a young adult book aimed at 12 plus, was long listed for the Fish Publications Children’s Fiction Prize and she is currently an Escalator winner 2016 with the Writers’ Centre Norwich. She started writing short stories as a young woman and won The Richmond Short Story Prize and was Runner Up in The Bridport Short Story Prize with her first short story Daddy, published in Panurge Magazine.
She has published poems in Not Expecting Fish and bird suit . She has written non fiction for many publications including The Guardian, Broadcast, Miss London, The Magazine, and Bushfire.
